We welcome all singers from age 16 and try to be accessible to all.
The rehearsal venue, Strathaven Evangelical Church, is on ground level and has an entrance ramp and disabled toilet facilities. Contact us for further information.
The nearest bus stop is at the Common Green, Strathaven.
There is very limited free parking and a disabled space adjacent to the venue. Further free parking is available in the Common Green and the adjoining car park which are less than five minutes walk away.

Subscription costs £100 for the year from August 2025 till May 2026, usually paid in one or two instalments. Sometimes there are small payments for purchase or hire of scores - usually between £10 and £20 a year.

Usually not. Our MD, Chris, might chat with you about any experience you have of singing and if you've never sung before and don't know which part - Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass (SATB) - your voice is, he will help you find the right section.
It would be useful, but it isn't essential and if you need it there will be help to find your way round a score.
We rehearse every Monday at 7.30pm with a summer break from early June until August, or this year, 2022, early September, and a short break at Christmas. We usually continue to rehearse on holiday weekends. Regular attendance is important to ensure we reach a high standard for our concerts.
Mostly classical with very little bits of jazz, traditional, music from the movies etc. occasionally thrown in. Always, we sing arrangements for SATB.
We perform two concerts each year, usually in December and May.
Whenever you feel ready to sing with us. However, if you are new to singing, August is the start of our year and usually our rehearsals focus on Christmas, including new arrangements of many familiar carols. In January, we start rehearsals for our spring concert, often a major work from the classical choral repertoire.
