A little golden pin is part of our Golden Anniversary celebrations. Singers, present and retired and some of those who have played important roles in our story are wearing them on lapels, ties or scarves.
The purpose of a memento is surely to recall happy memories. This from David Hamilton, a former MD:
I wanted to thank the Society for sending me a Golden Jubilee badge. I remember conducting the 25th Anniversary season (particularly the Verdi Requiem) and could not believe that 25 years have passed since, but indeed they have.
I had a wonderful 10 years as MD and wish the Society all the very best in this season and beyond.
