Monday 15th June saw a massive attendance at our AGM, all of our singers still on a high after a most successful concert, part of WestFest, the previous evening. The meeting concluded with a celebration which was tinged with just a little sadness as Barbara Smith, our last remaining founder member had decided that Sunday’s concert of Elgar’s Ave Verum and The Music Makers would be the last in which she would sing.
Such a milestone couldn’t go unmarked and, as well as presenting Barbara with a rose named ‘Coral Gardens’ (what’s an H between friends), she was happy to accept the appointment as Honorary Vice President. We look forward to welcoming Barbara to the audience of our next concert.
