As Our Long, Hot Summer Reaches Its Peak…..

… thoughts of singing return.

Our busy secretary, Anne, has been messaging members with all sorts of reminders and, as August is the best time for new and experienced singers to join, local paper ‘Echoes’ should be carrying this message:

Strathaven Choral Society is starting it’s new season on August 15th 2016.

Do you fancy something different to do?
If you enjoy music why not try coming along to Strathaven Choral on a Monday evening ?
No need to be able to read music.
The Choral Society begins its new season of rehearsals and concerts on August 15th 2016.
We meet on Monday evenings at 7.30 in the Evangelical Church, Lethame Rd, Strathaven under our young and dynamic musical director Chris Barr (
Strathaven Choral Society is a charity and active, particularly in Strathaven Hamilton andGlasgow. Its repertoire is extensive and the choir has been involved in a Theatrical work, the West End Festival in Glasgow in 2013 and 2015 and more local concerts in 2016. The members come from many areas of the West of Scotland travelling to rehearsals held in Strathaven.
Our seasonal concert will be held on December 11th, in Strathaven, again featuring the Coalburn Silver Band, for some exciting Seasonal music, with a twist! The concert with the band was a sell out last year and great fun, so why not sign up?
We have other regular concerts throughout the year which always makes for a busy and interesting season.
Singing is really fun and good for you and Strathaven Choral Society will give you a warm welcome.
All contact and rehearsal details are available on the website or through Facebook.
